IDIOTS/REVOLVER BAND CONTEST
M.E. has been asked to judge an
international band contest sponsored by Sickidiots.com and Revolver Magazine.
Mark joins other judges such as Lemmy (Motorhead), Don Dokken (Dokken) and Jani
Lane (ex-Warrant). The initial phase of the contest has fans voting for their
favorite bands, then the judges will choose from the finalists. The contest is
in process. Bands can still enter, and fans can vote,
here.

DVD Released, Video posted
The official DVD of KEEP IT
TRUE IV has been released. This features four of Overlorde’s songs (20 minutes)
from our debut European gig in April 2005. This is the first EVER DVD release
featuring Overlorde footage. We are glad to report that the DVD came out
excellent. Great audio and video.
Since the DVD will be
difficult to get in the USA, we may be offering it via mailorder to all our
fans. The DVD would come with a free full size promotional poster. So if you
have any desire to buy the DVD,

chosen by Overlorde's fans, is the second single/MP3 from RETURN OF THE SNOW
GIANT. It is available for streaming and download from

Posted: The very excellent Norway-based online radio
station/webzine METAL EXPRESS has posted a streaming version of
Overlorde's Colossus (Island of
the Cyclops) MP3 for all to hear! But hurry, it
will only be available for a limited time. Check it out here
in their
JUKEBOX section. Feel
free to leave a comment under the song like so many others have! Then try tuning in the
Metal Express radio stream. Once you successfully stream the station, request Overlorde when you see THE DJ IS ONLINE in the top right
corner. If you do not yet own RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT, request a song you

Live interview with
guitarist Mark "M.E." Edwards:
Overlorde's Flying V slinger will call into HIGH VOLTAGE metal radio show in
Oslo, Norway on Sunday, September 11th to talk about
RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT, the band's 20th anniversary, and his Norwegian
heritage. While the show itself is in Norwegian, the
interview will be in English. The show airs locally on FM 101.1 and can
also be heard live over the internet worldwide. So be
sure to tune in between 3:00pm and 5:00pm East Coast USA (9:00pm-11:00pm
CET) time.

Well
there's been no update here June but that doesn't mean things have
been slow. Oh no! The Overlorde CD has really been gaining steam, and a
ton has been going on. Here are all the announcements so far:
1)
Overlorde announces that guitarist Mark "M.E."
Edwards will represent Overlorde for an official MEET AND GREET session with
fans during
PROGPOWER USA VI metalfest in Atlanta, Georgia. M.E. will be the
guest of THE END RECORDS on Saturday, September 17th. Fans can get full sized
Overlorde promo posters signed by M.E. and can also pick up the bands highly
praised Sonic Age Records debut CD titled RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT. Including
the new vinyl gatefold edition!
Signs will be posted at the festival starting
Friday, Sept 16th, announcing the exact time of the MEET AND GREET.
M.E. will also have copies of his solo release G.W.A.

2) Overlorde announces the launch of its MySpace Music
page at MySpace.com! Guitarist Mark "M.E." Edwards explained the
importance of this:
"The metal community has really flourished at
MySpace. Especially the American fans. We just recently became aware of MySpace
Music, which allows bands to post songs and interact in a positive way with
fans. It really is a great place to bring the bands and fans together, and I think
its going to go a long way in rejuvenating the classic/heavy/power metal scene
here in the states. The response has already been great. The page has only
been up for about 10 days and we have already hooked up with over 500 new fans!"
The site is found at

who already has a MySpace profile is invited to send an ADD FRIEND REQUEST to
the band. For everyone else, you don't need to be registered to check it out but
it is required to access all sections of the Overlorde page. Registration is

Edwards explained.

3) Overlorde launches contest with METAL MANIACS
magazine! Yes, one of America's top Metal Magazines has teamed up with Overlorde

OVERLORDE's
20th ANNIVERSARY is here!
The band was named June 6, 1985 and played its first show in November 1985. The
first event to mark the anniversary is this Friday, June 24th.
OVERLORDE
will be live in-studio at WDHA-FM in New Jersey this Friday, June 24th. The band
will be talking about RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT and celebrating its 20th
anniversary with some give-aways.The show airs on 105.5 FM in Northern New
Jersey and can also be streamed live at
www.wdhafm.com
(be sure to test the stream well in advance). So fans
world wide can tune in!
The show is METAL MANIA, hosted by Matt Murray. It airs from 11:00 pm Eastern US
Time to 1:00 am. The interview will probably occur between 11:15 and midnight.

The new year has been nuts,
M.E.'s been doing lots of interviews for major metal magazines worldwide
among other promo for RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT! Leaving little time to
help with updating the site. But here it is!
WDHA FM's METAL MANIA aired SNOW GIANT on Friday,
Feb 11th. Overlorde thanks DJ Matt Murray for continuing the tradition of Metal
Mania's support for Overlorde, which began when Metal Mania's Cheryl Richardt
supported the band in 1987. If you live in the WDHA listening area
(Northern NJ) be sure to listen and request Overlorde each Friday night during
the show!
There have been a few
updates at www.overlorde.com (see
current news, updates since January 12th). Also, there is talk of more
Overlorde shows both in the USA and Europe. This in addition to the fast
approaching Overlorde performance at KEEP IT TRUE metalfest in Germany
on April 2nd! So hopefully M.E. will be performing at a venue near
you...

JANUARY 10, 2005
The New Year begins with a
life long goal of M.E.'s fulfilled. The worldwide professional release
of a CD featuring his playing. This occurred December 17th, 2004. M.E.
thanks all those who have supported him in this endeavour over the
years. You all rock!
But now is not the time to
rest. Lots of work remains to ensure the CD is a success.
The release of the CD in Germany, Austria and Switzerland was
delayed from December 17th to today, January 10th! North American, Polish, and Scandinavian
distribution to follow soon.
M.E. invites everyone to a
special worldwide web event this coming Saturday, January 15th. This
being an "Online CD Listening Party and Chat Session". Chat with M.E.
and the other members of Overlorde, as well as Overlorde fans from
